About Christian Stocker

Christian Stocker is a certified Senior MBSR Instructor (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), author, trainer, and graduate communication designer. Since 2010, he has been teaching MBSR in Frankfurt am Main and across Germany.

His journey into mindfulness began in 2005 when, after an exhausting workday at a design agency, he experienced a deep sense of inner dissonance. Realizing that his fast-paced lifestyle was unsustainable, he started exploring various approaches to well-being, from self-help books to relaxation techniques. A colleague’s recommendation led him to meditation, and a first transformative 10-day Vipassana retreat became the turning point that introduced him to mindfulness—not just as a practice, but as a deep and lasting adventure into awareness.

Inspired by this experience, he pursued extensive training to become an MBSR teacher and later expanded his expertise in Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL), Hypnosystemics, and Nonviolent Communication. He also became a trainer in the “Awake in the Wild” program, integrating mindfulness with the natural world. This practice has become essential to his own personal and professional life. For him, nature is not just a place of renewal and inspiration but a profound space for deepening one’s connection with oneself and the world.

Beyond teaching, Christian is committed to fostering a sense of community among mindfulness practitioners. This passion led him to create mindfulness.plus, a platform designed to help people stay connected and supported beyond their MBSR courses.
Christian’s approach is shaped by both personal experience and professional dedication. He openly shares his own challenges, demonstrating that mindfulness is not about eliminating stress but about learning to navigate it with greater awareness and equanimity. His teaching is marked by a grounded, down-to-earth attitude and a good sense of humor, making mindfulness both accessible and relatable. He believes that while mindfulness is a serious practice, it doesn’t have to be solemn, and that growth happens most naturally when we approach it with curiosity, ease, and even a smile.
