Summer Solstice
A Mindfulness Celebration
With Gail Wright
June 20, 2024 | 5:00pm Pacific
Event Desciption
Join us for a special mindfulness celebration of the summer solstice, a 90-minute event designed to honor the wisdom of our planet and the transformative energy of this pivotal moment. As the longest day of the year approaches, gather in a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and embrace the vitality of summer.
The summer solstice marks the pinnacle of daylight and the official arrival of summer. As Earth’s axis tilts to its maximum, the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, bestowing us with the longest day and the shortest night of the year. Nature flourishes in vibrant abundance, inviting us to revel in its splendor.
Dr. Gail Wright will guide us through nature-based mindfulness practices, attuning the heart to joy. We will explore themes of light, abundance, play, and gratitude through a combination of sitting meditation, dyadic inquiry, and mindful movement.
Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a nature lover new to meditation, this gathering offers an opportunity to pause, honor the Earth’s natural cycles, cultivate joy, and open to the delights of summer. All are welcome.
Participating in the Zoom event from outside is highly recommended if possible, as it may augment the sensory experience and enhance awareness of the interconnection between inner and outer landscapes. Join us in this collective celebration of life’s seasonality!
